University Data and Analytics is responsible for administering and overseeing the administration of a robust series of surveys of NC State students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Below are links to information about UDA surveys currently being administered, and to our five-year survey schedule for routinely administered surveys. In addition, based on information provided through the University Regulation on such activities, we have created and made available a calendar with information about student, alumni, faculty, and staff surveys being administered by other individuals/offices.

Current Surveys

• Incoming First-Year and Incoming Transfer Student Surveys
  In fall 2026, University Data and Analytics (UDA) is administering the Incoming First-Year and Transfer Surveys to new undergraduate students. These instruments help faculty, staff, and administrators better understand students’ admissions experiences, their decision to attend NC State, more about their background and preparation for college, and their experiences with New Student Orientation. Additionally, these surveys serve as benchmarks for new students’ knowledge and skills regarding undergraduate educational outcomes. Students who are eligible to complete the survey will receive an email with a link to participate. Results from previous Incoming First-Year and Incoming Transfer student surveys are available online at the UDA website.
